Niko Petrov is an AI artist working in generative still and moving image. They train custom diffusion models on archival visual material — botanical illustration, cyanotypes, 19th-century scientific photography — and generate work that exists in the space between archive and hallucination. MFA in Generative Visual Art, UdK Berlin, 2021. Represented by Verse Gallery (London) and Galerie Königsberg (Berlin). Their work is in the permanent collections of the ZKM Karlsruhe and the Centre Pompidou.

The new series of 24 generative works runs at Verse Gallery, London, through May 18. Editions are released weekly via Verse’s drop platform — six remaining. Commissioned-for-collection inquiries are open through end of year, with a typical lead time of 6–10 weeks.
